What is Pictor?

Pictor is the fastest and easiest way for you to bulk download your Flickr photos & videos to your computer. With Pictor, you simply search for any keyword and you will get the photos & videos for that keyword. You can then add that to download and Pictor will continue to download the media. You can even download photos & videos from your Flickr account by authenticating your Flickr account with Pictor.

Why should I use Pictor?

Today, if you try to download a big batch of Flickr photos, you are restricted by the 200 photos per batch limit on the web. As you try to break up batches and lose track of the exact items in each, you end up with duplicates which creates a bigger mess. And when you have new photos to download, you have to do all of this all over again. Is Pictor Downloader Free?

How do I connect my Flickr account?

Authenticating your Flickr account is a 10-second process - Just click on the "Add Account" button and you will be taken to the Flickr page where you allow and authenticate Pictor to download photos & videos of your account.

Can I download Flickr Public photos?

Yes, with Pictor you can download Flickr public photos to your computer. Simply search for a keyword within the application interface and all the available images will be downloaded to your machine.

Do I have the option to download a few selected pictures from Flickr?

As of now, this feature is not available. But, yes our team is working on it and it will be available in future release.

Is it necessary to connect my Flickr account to download Public photos/videos?

No, the Flickr Photo downloader will not ask you to connect your Flickr account to download 'Public' photos. However, if you wish to download photos from your personal Flickr account, then you will have to connect it.

How to search for photos & videos to download?

You have to just click on "Search" button a new window will be opened then enter any keyword and related results will be displayed, if you want to download those images then click on "Add to download" button. The photos & videos will automatically get downloaded.

Can I restart my computer during download? What will happen to my downloads in the process?

Yes, you can shut down your computer and restart as necessary without affecting the downloads. The Flickr photo downloader detects it and pauses the download and resumes from where it left last time, so there is no loss of information or duplicate photo downloads.

Is it available for Mac?

As of now, Pictor Flickr downloader is available for Windows only. The team is working on the Mac version and will be launched soon.

What about my privacy? Do you keep my Flickr photos on your servers?

We are fully committed to privacy Pictor Flickr Downloader doesn’t keep or store any of your photos or videos on our servers, at all - in fact, the photos are directly downloaded either to your without touching the Pictor servers.

Is the Flickr photo downloader resource hungry? Can I work on my computer while Flickr download is going on?

Pictor downloader for Flickr is designed to consume very little resources on your computer so it can run in the background and you can continue to work on whatever you need.

I am a bit worried sharing my Flickr account information with Pictor.

Pictor Downloader uses OAuth to authenticate your Flickr account. OAuth is the standard and prescribed way to authenticate any third party software without sharing your actual username and password. So, you need not worry about it. In addition to OAuth, our software is 'Code Signed' which means it can't be tampered with. Lastly, we use HTTPS for server interactions.

Is there any download limit imposed by Pictor?

No. Pictor downloader doesn't impose any download restrictions. But (in case of Public photos) due to the API restrictions, you can download only 4500 per query.

Can I search for Public photos from within the application interface?

Yes, Pictor provides you the same search feature as that of Flickr. You have the option to download photos via the search query.

Does Pictor keep a check on new photos added to my personal Flickr account?

Yes, Pictor Flickr downloader keeps looking for new photos & videos added to your Flickr account and automatically download them to your local machine, without you having to do a thing.

Can I change the default download location and set it to some other directory/folder?

Yes, Pictor allows you to change the default location to save your downloaded Flickr photos.

Does Pictor downloader compress the original file size or resolution?

No. Pictor downloader doesn't change the photo resolution or size. They are downloaded at FULL resolution and in original size, so you have your memories saved in the best possible way.

Does Pictor auto-syncs new albums added to my Flickr account?

Yes. Pictor downloader continuously monitors your Flickr account and keeps looking for new albums/photos added to your Flickr account and automatically download them to your local machine.
